Noise reduction
The majority of the noise in the communities closest to the metropolitan airports comes from jet-fuel combustion during high throttle climbs at takeoff. The Exhaustless Takeoff System can reduce noise in these areas by 10dB while improving propulsion from onboard engines for climb out.
Listen to the difference in the sound of a traditional heavy-aircraft takeoff compared to an Exhaustless takeoff. Assisted takeoff at 30% throttle represents almost 16dB decrease in noise per takeoff. |
